SHOP & EARN FUNDRAISER–$3,000 in 5 months!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank all those Stingrays members who have been supporting our ongoing Shop & Earn fundraiser. I think that most would agree it is the easiest way to support our Club. Remember, with every order placed you also have an opportunity to earn raffle tickets to win your oldest swimmer’s meet fees for 2005-2006. This could be a value of $750.00. Splash members could win a session of Splash free!
To date we have raised almost $3,000.00 in just five short months!!! We have had 80 families place orders. That is almost half of our membership!! Of those 80 families, 25% are placing orders on a regular basis. There are 13 families who have each raised more than $50.00 for the club just with purchasing our certificates basically for groceries and gas—which everyone has to anyways.
Every penny adds up with more members participating. Imagine the funds that could be raised with greater member participation and more regular orders for groceries and gas!
We realize that all our members are extremely busy and it is difficult to organize shopping needs ahead of time. If you go shopping with your debit card, this is the program for you. You can write a cheque to the Club as easy as using your debit card. We are also able to manage post-dated cheques. No order is too small. Here are some of our members’ comments:

"I have to buy groceries for my family and gas for my car. My sister buys them, too! I used to pay for it by cash or my debit card. Now I drop an order at the Complex with my cheque and have my coupons in a week." — Jennie Sorobey.
All you older swimmers who are shopping with your own money or buying gas for the car that gets you to swim practice…how about buying some gas coupons from the program???? Buy a coupon to the store where you spotted that top or dress you have been wanting to buy. Maybe Chapters has a new book or magazine that you have been waiting for.
We are dealing with a few companies to ensure you have a great selection of retailers and the Club gets the best profit possible. Note: Chapters and LaSenza certificates are available but are not on the Preferred One list. The funds will be used to help support ongoing operational costs of running the club.
