Ontario All Star Team
Emily Rose Creighton and Jeffrey Swanston of the Newmarket Stingrays have been selected to the Ontario All Star Team that will travel to Halifax on May 9th. Emily Rose(14) and Jeffrey(12) will join thirty other swimmers from the province, to compete head to head in a tri- meet against swimmers from the Fédération de Natation du Quebec (FNQ) and Atlantic province swimming associations (including Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador.)This will be held at Dalhousie University in Halifax from May 10th- 13th, 2007. Emily Rose and Jeffrey were one of four swimmers in their respective age categories who were selected to the team. The team was selected using the swimmers’ top three events (two different strokes) during the short course season, with the events then being ranked against the FINA point charts. At least one of the swims must have been completed at the Ontario Junior Provincial Championships.
