December Swimmers of the Month

National Senior and Senior
Ania Batko

Ania has been to over 90% of the workouts this year and in
December she attended 100%.
At the Youth Cup meet this December she swam 12 best times in 14
races and in 4 events she made finals.
Her biggest improvements came in the 400 free where she improved
by 4.4 seconds and in the 200 fly where she improved by 5.6
seconds.
At workouts Ania works hard to improve her fitness and concentrates
hard to improve her technique.

AG1 and AG2
Shannon Cumiskey

Shannon Cumiskey has had great attendance the entire season, for
the month of December she had 100%.

Since the start of the season Shannon has trained very well, and you
can tell every workout that she is trying to improve her self.
At Youth Cup she showed how well she has trained with 6 personal
best times. In the 100 free she improved her time by 2.8 seconds,
and made the consolation final. With that performance she also
qualified for the Eastern Canadian Championship, and that is very
impressive considering that she has just turned 13.

Congratulations Shannon and keep up the good work.

Gabriel Fenn

I have chosen Gabriel Fenn as the swimmer of the month for
December for Development 3. His attendance is 92% so far this year.
Gabriel is a hard worker and is excellent at breast stroke and whip
kick. He has made huge improvements in his freestyle and is getting
way faster. At our upcoming swim meet the York Junior Quadathalon,
Gabriel has selected to swim the most challenging races; the 100IM,
100FR, 100BR and 100BK along with a few other teammates.
Keep up the great work Gabriel!
