2008 Olympic Trials Results
April 1-6th – Montreal
8 swimmers represented the Newmarket Stingrays at the Olympic Trials last week: Tessa Bain, Calan Eldridge, Donald Ellison, Mark Kurtzer, Brandon Kingston, Jessica Pietrusiak, Lindsay Seemann, and Matthew Swanston.
Despite some illness, we had some excellent results overall at the meet
There is an “A†final for the top 8 swimmers after the morning preliminaries, and a “B†final for the swimmers placing 9-16th after the morning preliminaries.
Here are performances in the A final:
Lindsay Seemann
- 200 backstroke – 1st place 2:12.06
- 800 freestyle – 2nd place 8:37.98*
- 100 backstroke- 4th place 1:02.77
