Lindsay has good results (and some fun)in Vancouver
   Lindsay Seemann is in Vancouver this week, as part of her Olympic Team duties.  Last weekend Lindsay, as well as all of the other members of the Olympic Swim Team raced at the Vancouver Bell Grand Prix meet. This meet featured evening prelims and morning finals, since this will be the format of this summer’s Olympics in Beijing. This format for the Olympics is in order to accomodate live television broadcasts for the swimming events.
There were some very good swimmers at the meet, including a strong contingent from Australia.
Lindsay had some very good results at the meet, including 2 silver medals, one in the 100 backstroke, and the other in the 200 backstroke.
Lindsay was also awarded the top Junior swimmer of the meet.
Now that the meet is over, the Olympic Team is staying in Vancouver for a 5 day training camp. As well there will be a Gala dinner, and other promotional and team building activities.
Lindsay will be returning to Newmarket on May 31st.
