Level 1 Officiating Clinic
There are still some families who are not in compliance with the Club’s requirements regarding taking officiating clinics. There are also many families who are new to the Club this season. A shortage of officials will jeopardize our ability to host meets in the future – a major source of funds to operate the club. At least one parent in each family is required to successfully complete the Level I clinic in their first season with the Club and a Level II clinic in their second season with the Club.
In keeping with the Club’s policy of training and advancing our officials we have booked the following clinic:
Level I – Introduction to Swim Meets (Timers clinic)
Wednesday, October 22nd, 7 – 9 PM, Newmarket Community Centre Hall # 1
This is the appropriate clinic for parents new to the sport who have not taken this clinic in the past.
It is important that you attend the entire clinic. Those arriving late may not receive a sign-off for attending the clinic.
In order that we have enough course material available we would ask that you contact the office at least two days prior to the clinic to reserve your space.
Future clinics will be held in February and May, 2009. Watch for upcoming announcements.
