5 medals for Stingrays in Portland, Oregon!
Lindsay Seemann, and Brandon Kingston, both from the National Senior Group, were in Portland Oregon this past weekend as part of the Ontario Youth team. They raced at the Paul Bergen Jr. International Short Course Championships from Friday Dec, 12th- Sunday, Dec. 14th. There were swimmers from Germany, France, the US, and all over Canada at the meet.Â
They posted some excellent results, winning 5 medals, including a gold medal won by Brandon in the 1500 freestyle. Brandon’s time of 15:23.17 was a personal best by 17 seconds! Brandon also won a silver medal in the 400 freestyle with a time of 3:51.07, another personal best by a large margin.
Lindsay won 3 medals- silver in the 200 backstroke in a personal best of 2:09.58, bronze in the 400 IM, 4:42.54, and bronze in the 800 freestyle in a time of 8:41.37, which were also both personal bests.
Lindsay and Brandon also each swam on all 3 of Team Ontario’s relays.
