Can. Jr. Athlete of the Year Finalist- update! (with photos)

Matthew Swanston , one of three finalists for the Canadian Junior Athlete of the Year Award was at the Canadian Sports Awards Banquet at the National Gallery in Ottawa on Tuesday, Feb. 24th.

The Canadian Junior Athlete of the Year (2008) was awarded to Sarah Reid, age 21,  of the sport skeleton.

The morning after the awards banquet, Matthew and the other athlete finalists in all categories visited an Ottawa high school and spoke individually to the student body, and then afterwards had lunch on Parliament Hill with MP’s.
