Charlotte Ultra Swim – 2 Medals for Lindsay!

Day 4-Lindsay finished 2nd in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:13.63. The event was won by Elizabeth Beisel, 2008 U.S. Olympian. Lindsay was the only member of Team Ontario to win 2 individual medals.Â
 Matthew finished 4th in the 200 backstroke in a time of 2:02.46, which was the highest placing of any male on the Ontario team. The event was won by Aaron Peirsol, who is the current world record holder in the 100 back, and former (2008) world record holder in the 200 back. Second place went to Tyler Clary , who won the 200 backstroke at the NCAA Championships in March.
 Brandon finished 13th in the 800 freestyle, in a personal best of 8:29.70
Day 3- Matthew finished 11th  in the 100 backstroke in a time of 57.21. The event was won by current world record holder in that event, Aaron Piersol. Michael Phelps finished 2nd.
Brandon finished 16th in the 400 freestyle in a time 4:04.79 ( personal best of 4:03.86 in prelims)
Matthew and Brandon were both members of Team Ontario’s 4 x 100 medley relay which finished 5th.
Day 2- Lindsay finished 4th in the 200 freestyle in a personal best of 2:01.11
Matthew finished 13th in the 200 freestyle in a personal best of 1:52.56
Lindsay finished 4th in the 400IM in a time of 4:52.05 (personal best of 4:50.33 in prelims)
Matthew finished 10th in 100 butterfly in a personal best of 55.66
Brandon and Matthew were both part of Team Ontari0′s 4 x 100 freestyle relay, which finished 3rd.
 Day 1- distance events:
800 freestyle- Lindsay won a bronze medal in a time of 8:44.05. The event was won by multi- Olympic medalist Katie Hoff of the U.S. Lindsay led for the first half of the race.
1500 freestyle- Brandon Kingston finished a very strong 14th in a time of 16:09.36, which was his 2nd best 15oo ever.

Three members of the National Senior Group have all been named to the Senior Provincial Team that will race at the Charlotte Ultra Swim Meet, which is in Charlotte, Â North Carolina from May 14th- 17th.
Representing Ontario will be Stingray swimmers  Brandon Kingston, Lindsay Seemann, and Matthew Swanston who were all selected from their performances in the short course season.Â
Competing at the meet will be American stars Michael Phelps, Ryan Lochte, and Katie Hoff, as well as many others.
