Re: H1N1 Flu virus
Date: October 30, 2009
From: Â Â Your Board of Directors
With the onset of the flu season and the fact that the H1N1 virus is causing a lot of concern, this is a good time to remind our swimmers of some precautions to take to try to prevent the spread of this and other viruses.
- Wash hands thoroughly and frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer
- Do not share water bottles or any other beverages or foods
- Do not share towels
- Stay away from people who are sick
- Cough or sneeze into your elbow or shoulder, not your hands
We realize that swimmers hate to miss a workout or a meet, however, swimmers who are sick or who feel they are getting sick need to stay home in order to speed their recovery and avoid spreading the virus further. Swimmers need to stay home until they are well.
We ask for everyone’s cooperation to help keep our Club healthy. Please watch the website for any further updates.
Thank You!
From your Newmarket Stingrays Swim Club Board of Directors
