September/October Swimmers of the Month!

November 15th, 2010 | Stingray Office Manager | Stingray News, Swimmer of the Month

Congratulations to the September/October, 2010 Swimmers of the Month:

National Senior/Senior

Conor Grant

Conor Grant is the NS &SR swimmer of the month for September/October 2010.

At the Richmond Hill meet this October, Conor swam 7 best times in 8 swims. His biggest improvements came in the 200 free where he improved 3.7 seconds and in the 200 IM where he improved by 2.6 seconds. The two main reasons why he has started the season off so well is firstly, at workouts he has a positive attitude and is trying hard to improve his technique and secondly, because he has been able to stay healthy and maintain 100% attendance.

Congratulations Conor and keep up the good work.

Alan Swanston

AG1 and AG2

Neil Wikant

Neil has not missed one workout so far this season. With an attendance record of 100%, he has shown everyone that you can be committed both to school and swimming.

Right from the start of the season Neil has been a very hard working athlete. During workouts you can see that he is working on improving himself, and at the same time he is able to maintain a high level of intensity.

At the Richmond Hill meet all his hard work paid off and he had a great meet with 100% personal best times.

Congratulations Neil and keep up the good work.

Ulf Ornhjelm

AG3 and AG4

Lydia Brama

September/ October 2010 Swimmer of the Month honours go to AG4’s Lydia Brama. Lydia has hit the pool this year in the AG4 group with some serious focus, determination and awesome attendance! At the first meet of the year, the Richmond Hill Fall Classic , Lydia had some fabulous start of the season results. Lydia erased nearly 30 seconds from her previous best times, including a 15 second drop in her 200 Freestyle race. More impressively however Lydia put her trust into the work we have been doing on turns at workout and followed through at the meet with what she has been practicing every day.

Keep up the awesome work Lydia and even bigger and better improvements will be on the way!

AG5

Grier Kershaw

The September/October swimmer of the month for AG5 is Grier Kershaw. Grier has a perfect attendance for the season so for. He comes to every practice with a great attitude, wanting to do a good job. This was demonstrated by him completing fifteen out of sixteen repeats under water. At the Richmond Hill meet he tried really hard to achieve the goals set and for the most part succeeded.

Great job Grier, keep it up.

Sam Shalovsky

Development 1 and Development 2

Abby Keeble

The September/October swimmer of the month for DEV 1/2 is Abby Keeble. Abby has an over 95% attendance for the season so for. She comes to every practice bright eyed and eager to learn. Every time she is asked to do something, be it something in the water or something to work on at home, she makes an effort to achieve those goals. She does not always succeed but she always tries.

Excellent job, Abby, keep it up.

Development 3

Maksym Klakov

The swimmer of the month for September/October has been given to Maksym Klakov. He comes every day and surprises me with his enthusiasm and willingness to work hard! Each practice is something new; I just cannot believe how much he has improved over the past two monthsJ He is a great listener and puts one hundred percent effort into every practice. I am so proud of how far he has come. Keep up the excellent swimming!

Congratulations Max!!
