November Swimmers of the Month!

January 2nd, 2011 | Stingray Office Manager | Swimmer of the Month

Congratulations to the November, 2010 Swimmers of the Month:

 National Senior/Senior

Samantha Young

Samantha Young is the NS & SR swimmer of the month for November. This November, at the Newmarket meet, Samantha swam best times, or near best times, in 6 out of 7 of her events. Her biggest drop came in the 200 IM where she improved 9 seconds from her last year’s time of 2:34.06 to 2:25.00. She made this leap because she has 100% attendance and while she is at workout she works very hard.

Congratulations Samantha and keep up the good work.

 Alan Swanston

AG1 and AG2

Haden Brearton

Since the beginning of the season Haden Brearton has been training great. Each workout you can see that he is focused on improving his technique, and at the same time he is able to train with high intensity. At the Newmarket meet and the distance meet all the hard work paid off. In the 800 free he improved his time by 18 seconds, and he had personal best times in the 200 free, 200 back, 100 and 200 breaststroke.

Congratulations Haden and keep up the good work.

 Ulf Ornhjelm

AG3 and AG4

Elizabeth DeAgazio

November swimmer of the month honours for the AG3 and AG4 groups go to Elizabeth DeAgazio!  Elizabeth meet performances over the start of the season have shown a dramatic improvement in her racing abilities!  She has started to show her determined and aggressive side in her races!  As a result of this change in racing attitude in November Elizabeth destroyed her previous best times at both the Newmarket Metro Stores invitational and the Newmarket distance time trials.  At the Metro Stores meet Elizabeth wiped well over a minute off of her previous best times!  This includes a drop of over 23 second in her 200 Breaststroke, a  drop of 15 second in her 100 fly and a drop of over 11 second in her 200 IM!  Then at the Distance time trials in her 800 Free she managed to take off over 25 seconds from her 400 fr time (at the half way mark), and more than 100 seconds off of her actual 800 time!  Totally awesome results from a girl who always maintains excellent workout attendance and a great attitude day in and day out!

  Great work Liz!
