Stingray Alumni has 4th place finish at NCAA’s!
Over the twenty plus years the Newmarket Stingrays have created both great kids, and great swimmers. Their success is often amplified in what they choose to accomplish after they graduate from the club. If you hear of other Alumni success – please forward it to alumni@newmarketstingrays.org
In this update, we recognize the recent news of an alumni Stingray, Matthew Swanston who is attending Stanford University.
Alumni News
Newmarket Stingrays Alumni Matthew Swanston swam to a spectacular 4th place finish in the 200 backstroke at the 2011 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, which were held in Minneapolis from March24-26th.
The NCAA’s Championships is considered one of the fastest swim meets in the world.
Matthew also finished 11th in the 100 backstroke, and swam the backstroke leg on Stanford University’s 400 medley relay, which finished 3rd, and 200 medley relay, which finished 5th.
Stanford finished 3rd at the meet behind the University of California, and the University of Texas.
