April Swimmers of the Month!

June 27th, 2011 | Stingray Office Manager | Swimmer of the Month

Congratulations to the April, 2011 Swimmers of the Month:

National Senior/Senior

Jake Silverthorn

Jake Silverthorn was selected as the April Swimmer of the Month for the National Senior/Senior Group. Jake is the type of swimmer that works hard, has great attendance, and always tries to improve himself.  His efforts, through the short course season allowed him to swim faster than his best time from last year in 65 races.

Congratulations Jake and keep up the good work.

Alan Swanston

 AG1 and AG2

Tristan Beam

His attendance for the month was 100%, and his attendance for the short course season was 94%. Tristan has been very committed to his swimming this season, in workouts you can see how he is trying to improve himself. As a result he has done very well at the championship meets. He is now Qualified for Ontario Junior & Senior Provincials, and the Canadian Age group Championship.

Congratulations Tristan and keep up the good work

 Ulf Ornhjelm

AG3 and AG4

Kaleigh Sharkey

April swimmer of the month honours for the AG3 and AG4 groups go to Kaleigh Sharkey in the AG4 group. Kaleigh has been a quiet but prominent workout and meet performer right from the start of the season. She has maintained close to 95% attendance all year! At workout she may not speak up verbally, but her workout habits speak for themselves and at a high volume! Kaleigh never shy’s away from putting in her best efforts and working diligently on improving her strokes and turns. Her best times have dropped consistently through out the year as a direct result of this training attitude and consistency. I look forward to great times being posted by this young lady in the months and years ahead!

Keep up the great work Kaleigh!

 Caroline Teskey

Joy Rance

The swimmer of the month in AG5 for the month of April is Joy Rance. Joy has an over 95% attendance for the month.  She comes to workout every day with the intent to improve. Her attitude to training is exemplary, more so coming off a month of hard training with no meets.

Congratulations Joy on a great job.

Development 3

Kyle Clark

April of the month is greatly given to Kyle Clark! Since moving up in December, he has put in tons of effort and has  improved so much! He is a fantastic kicker and I can’t wait to see is kick help him in the future. He makes each practice fun to be at, and just recently and the last swim meet did a fantastic job in both his freestyle and backstroke events! Keep up the awesome work, and I can’t wait to see him at the next swim meet!

Congratulations Kyle!!
