2023 Canadian Eastern Championships

Newmarket Stingrays

Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated at the Eastern Canadian Swimming Championships. 

Thirteen of our Stingrays swimmers traveled to Windsor to compete against the best swimmers in Eastern Canada.  

Eighty-nine clubs attended the championships and our team finished in a respectable 16th position. 

We had many personal best times, multiple finals, and club record breaking performances. Our swimmers captured 3 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze medal.  

They demonstrated great team spirit and fearless attitude attacking every race. Below is a summary of their outstanding achievements:

Madison Russell (16)

  • 100m Breaststroke – 6th

  • 13&over Girls 4x100 medley (Morrison , Russell , Cheung, A.Sprogis) 2nd
