Splash into Spring Pickering

The Wave swimmers made Waves this past weekend at the Splash into Spring Meet. For only 7 and 8 years old, they held their own against the 11 and unders. The Wave group has made significant improvements in their dives, turns, and technique, which led them to very successful races this weekend.

All Wave swimmers got a personal best in at least one event! 100% of swimmers improved their time in the 100 back. Aria Thomas went under 2:00 for the first time- dropping 18 seconds with a time of 1:59.79. Claire Semeniuk got a best time of 8 seconds with a time of 2:03.82, and Julia Trinidad improved by 17 seconds with a time of 2:04.29. For the boys, Sam Kelly placed 6th   dropping almost a minute with a time of 1:52.06. Not far behind was Nathan Abate-Linklater with a 16 second best time of 1:53.09.

Other notable highlights:

Congratulations to Sam Kelly for winning his heat of 100 back, and for placing top 6 for the 10 and unders in both 50 and 100 back.

Congratulations to Elizabeth Rong for winning her heat of 100 back.

Congratulations to Elijah Canaran for winning his heat of 50 free.
