2024 Ontario Junior International
The 10th annual Ontario Junior International was held at the Toronto Pan Am Sport Center .
This prestigious event offers young swimmers from across Canada and around the world the chance to showcase their skills and talent right here in Ontario.
The meet had 81 clubs attending and had outstanding athletic performances that will inspire swimmers across our province to strive to achieve their dreams.
Five swimmers represented the Newmarket Stingrays .
Below is a summary of their outstanding achievements:
Congratulations for Matteo Mancini breaking his own club record on the 200m scm breaststroke with the time of 2.21.18 in the boys age 15/16 category. Also breaking the 100m breaststroke club record with the time of 1.05.04 . The previous record stood for 8 years.
Congratulations for Onna Okeke breaking her own club record on the 50m breaststroke with the time of 33.02 in the girls age 15/16 category.
Congratulations for Lucas Amaral breaking a 15-year-old club record in the 50m butterfly event with the time of 24.61 in the 17/18 boys and the OPEN age group category.
