Stingrays Shine at Marilyn Bell and BTSC Spring Meets

It was a back-to-back racing bonanza for the Stingrays over the past two weekends, as our swimmers delivered standout performances at both the Marilyn Bell and BTSC Spring Meets.

At the Marilyn Bell Meet, our Trials qualifiers tackled long course competition with determination and speed, preparing for the big meets ahead. This past weekend, 128 Stingrays traveled to Barrie to compete in the BTSC Spring Meet, delivering phenomenal performances across all age groups.

Both meets featured multiple personal bests, outstanding swims, and impressive qualifications. A special shoutout goes to Alwyn Li, who qualified for Ontario Swimming Championships in the 200m backstroke—a major milestone in his swimming journey.

Congratulations to Elsa Liu on meeting the qualification standards in both the 100m and 200m backstroke events for the upcoming Ontario Swimming Championships (OSC).

Congratulations to Jiu Kimm for achieving the OAG qualification standard in the 200m breaststroke, Jase Foran for qualifying in the 100m backstroke, and David Siris for meeting the standards in both the 200m freestyle and 100m breaststroke events.

The fun didn’t stop in the pool! The Stingrays brought the energy and creativity to the costume relays:

• 🥇 10 & Under “Red Hot” Relay – Grand Prize Winners of $200
• 🥈 13 & Over “Smurf” Relay – 2nd Place Finish
•  🥈 11–12 “Superheroes” – Brought great spirit , 2nd Place Finish
