Barrie Trojan Cup

This past weekend, 74 of our 11-and-under Stingrays travelled to Barrie to compete at the Barrie Trojan Cup, a fun and exciting meet with a unique team-based format.

The Trojan Cup is a team competition where every swim counts. Over three days of racing, swimmers earn points for their team, with placements from 1st through 16th scoring as follows:

60-50-42-34-30-22-20-18-16-14-12-10-8-6-4-2

At the end of the meet, the Trojan Cup is awarded to the top Junior Team (12 and under) and the top Senior Team (13 and over).

Team scores are calculated by combining total points and averaging them by the number of swimmers entered in each age group. To be eligible, each junior and senior team must have a minimum of 10 athletes entered in the meet.

Our young swimmers raced fearlessly, delivered multiple best times, and fought hard in every race. It has been great to see how much they have improved as we approach the end of the short course season. Their effort, determination, and team spirit were on full display throughout the weekend.

Congratulations to all of our swimmers and thank you to our coaches, who work very hard to help our athletes achieve these strong results.
