Coach Edit and 8 senior swimmers attended a training camp in Bermuda over the holidays. The training camp took place from December 31, 2022 to January 6, 2023. The facilities were amazing and there was plenty of food. Some highlights were swimming in the Cathedral cave, touring Crystal & Fantasy caves and a fat tire e-bike tour around the island. Newmarket Stingrays swimmer, Caleb Arndt, has broken the Canadian Para-Swimming Record! Caleb competed at Tuesday Night at the Races IV in Toronto on December 20, 2022 and set a new record of 34.71 for Short Course 50m Breaststroke. The Newmarket Stingrays Swim Club would like to extend a HUGE congratulations to Caleb for this amazing achievement!

Congratulations to the 6 Newmarket Stingrays swimmers who met the qualification standard to attend the prestigious Ontario Junior International (OJI) Swim Meet on December 16th to 18th 2022 at the Toronto Pan American Sports Centre in Toronto. The OJI, an 18 and under junior swim meet is the most significant short course junior championship meet in the western hemisphere, and one of the biggest such annual meets in the world. 2022 Border City Invitational Windsor Travel Swim Meet Recap Congratulations to all the swimmers who participated in the first travel meet of the 2022-2023 season. Toronto hosted the 2022 FINA Swimming World Cup Friday October 28 - Sunday October 30 2022 with more than 450 elite athletes from 40 countries competing.
